I have a friend that performed enivormental assessments and cleanups at Nellis near Vegas, on bombing ranges and target areas.
Firstly, they asked that he carry a minimum of two spare tires for the short run out and back from the site. Much shrapnel. Second, the dudes, other explosives, and who n=knows what witches brew of chemical residue is left area would open the gov't to loads of liability.
I really don't see it happening.
