This site is absolutely Fabulous. As I reside overseas, I, unfortuantely, am only able get to the Valley once every 10 years. Therefore, these 8 spots are a splattering, the "best of the best" (my opinion only), culminating from my last 5 trips (first in 1953). Out of all the places listed I truly desire to attempt the Surprise Canyon Trail before the Heavenly Father calls. It was great in '93 but this time I just want to be a "passenger" and relive the exillaration of the climb! I now have a question that irk's me somewhat. Is it true that the elites from the center for bio-illogical perversity had the Lemoinge area closed off to everyone but themselves and a few Aneides lugubris. Being elderly, but still full of vim & vigor,(ask my lovely wife) I rely on motorized transport (including a "Rascal")which I would have to utilize in order to return to these "sacred" places. I just hope that when I return next spring I can utilized my "Rascal". If not then I will be left no choice but to hire a couple of people to carry me by means of a custom fabricated, shaded stretcher to my favorite places listed below(as was the case on my most recent exploration in Castrovalva, Italy - Great mountain trails) . God bless you all. Alou
1. Eureka Dunes
2. Lemoigne Canyon Area
3. Ubehebe Crater
4. Hunter Cabin Road Area
5. Upper Warm Springs - Saline Valley Area
6. Surprise Canyon
7. Panamint springs Resort
8. Furnace Creek Golf Course
