I have to say that military jets buzzing over you are very common in and around the areas that have been mentioned on this board. We had a whole tour of 15 vehicles "bombed" as we drove through Panamint Valley a few years ago. Also, I just spent two weeks at Cerro Gordo in the Inyo Mountains, and we had military jets go over us daily. If we didn't hear them we would have worried, I think. That's how common the occurances are. Since 9/11 this has become common; Cerro Gordo locals tell me.
