Don't know how legal any of these military air shows are, but China Lake Weapons Center is not too far, and I think these guys like to go out and play. Doesn't bother me as much out there as it does on the Kern River. Ever been fishing on the Kern and have them bomb you? They are in such tight narrow canyons there, I'm always sure it's an actual accident, and not a military jet playing around, then I'm proved wrong.
I will tell you that when 9/11 hit one of my first thoughts was that I was glad that the military had used me for target practice. I did a service for my country, I guess, by being a practice target!
