Hey Frank, I tried to email you but a message came back saying the email address was invalid.
Anyway, I am not one of "those" people who sit on a bus load of "Chinese tourists". Do I get a sense of prejudice here? Have I travelled off road in DV? No. But I will be in October. Yes I will be disappointed if I can't go to some places. I am an off roader with years of experience in mud, rocks, muskeg, and rivers. I love the challenge it gives. But my 60 years of living has taught me, there are reasons behind every law, even if I don't agree with them. I learn to live with them. I don't have to like them, but then laws I like, others don't. It's life.
Do I understand the 2nd ammendment. Yes. I've researched it thoroughly over the past two years, from Supreme Court rulings down.
My point was simply, that using the DV post to discuss gun control, without relating it to DV is not relevant, and I stand by that. A while back there was an excellent discussion on transportation of firearms in DV. THAT IS relevant. This forum as I understood it, when it was developed was to discuss issues about Death Valley, and to help people obtain information about one of the greatest wonders of the world.
My view is similar to political discussions. If it has relevance to DV, such as land closures .... great. But if it turns to discussing drivers licences, and national security, and inserting electronic chips in humans, I fail to see the connection to DV. I stand by my view, that debate belongs on a forum other than one designed to disucss issues of importance with DV.

Have a great day. (:>)
