I was driven to Panamint City once, and think you could take quite a while to explore the entire place and surroundings. Lots to see and explore at the city itself, and at the nearby mines. Besides the grand view to enjoy, there are several rock buildings in various states of ruin, plus left-over "stuff" to investigate and ponder. I'm going to return when I can stay longer.
