... any roads in Death Valley are too narrow for a full size. I have taken a full size pickup over every rough road in the park, (i.e. Echo, Goler, etc.) and had plenty of room to make it. I have been on stuff ten times narrower and rougher than any DV road, and made it easy in the full size.

Why do I share this? Because people always ask me how I can take my rig on roads for "only short wheelbase vehicles", and think I lie about conquering them until I show them pictures. Unless you are talking about a few isolated places, (such as the Rubicon's Sluice Boxes, or Chokecherry playground in New Mexico, and a few other places) full size rigs are fine, provided the driver knows the vehicle, and isn't afraid to use a spotter in some cases. For the most part, the "short wheelbase only" thing is nothing more than an urban legend of fourwheeling, and conventional wisdom.
