Interesting for sure. I did find a 1985 Geological Survey "Saline Valley" 1:000 000 topo map that clearly shows the road I walked on, ending where I stopped. A road to nowhere? Clearly, there is interesting history and more stories out there about that section of the Valley, with that air strip and mysterious road.
