The best shocks I have ever used by far are the Fox 2.0 Pro Series. Fox shox are top of the line, but expect to pay top of the line prices for them (over $700 for all four on my Manx). I went with reservior shock for the rear, but not up front because I couldn't find a good way to mount them. I have experienced NO FADE, even after two hours straight of rough, rocky roads. To offest the cost, they are rebuildable and revalveable. You can tune them to match your vehicle and they are the last shocks you will need to buy.

I also had excellent results with Bilsteins, and I think they recently came out with a rebuildable/revalveable shock as well. Cost is about half that of Fox. Don't expect the same performance, but if you have never had Fox shox you probably won't even notice.
