Just talked to the Inyo county highway guy. Folks North Saline and Big pine are really closed. Saline has for example has one section that has a 20' hole in it and it also has other
damage. Big pine is badly damaged also. The priority is that they fix Big pine first. If the
bad weather continues it will probably take a few
months to fix Saline as they do not want to fix it and have another storm take it out again. We
could have north saline out for months depending on the weather and resource situation. I asked him how south saline was and he said fine but rough in spots. Sooo North Saline is really closed even for 4x4. The good news is Big pine
is being worked on as we speak.
