When I was at the FC campground 2 years ago,I noticed a water quality caution notice stating that the water exceeded recommended limits for Flourine content only.It stated the water was safe for drinking, but may cause yellow or brown Fl spots on children's teeth. Another source (DVNP Ranger) stated he has digestive problems from the same water, and drinks bottled water. I've been drinking Furnace Creek Campgrond water for years and have never had any negative effects.I understand FC's water is from the Texas Spring and quality tested and ensured.I also understand it is called "fossil water" as it comes from an aquafier originating many miles East, and is from ancient rain, etc. It therefore has exposure to minerals enroute. I have no concerns, but am just interested. Our 1800's Pioneers were sure limited to their sources, and had lots of nature's additives, both good and bad! I've been visiting DV since 1936, so I'm rather a "fossil" myself!
