nothing on local bakersfield news about fire and no visible smoke other than normal bakersfield smog ! panamint charlie what you saw was most likely a launch from vandenburg , i saw a few while living in trona as a child and many more since ! there are some websites with vandenburg info and launch schedules but since the war on terror started everything seems to be idle .
