The western side of Big Horn is very remote, requiring a long drive on the rarely traveled White Top Mtn. Rd., east out of Hidden Valley. Although it is a short, 1 mile walk down the wash to the head of the canyon, you can only go a few hundred feet down the canyon narrows before reaching a sheer 20 foot drop. It would take ropes and ladders to descend, although I understand it is possible to bypass the dropoff by skirting across the north ridge. But I found the footing to be too loose, and did not continue.

The head of the canyon closed to a smooth walled narrows with cool stuff within. While scouring the area for a few hours we found bighorn sheep bones, fossils and glyphs.
