We are all caretakers and there is no reservation system. It is first come, first served. Last thanksgiving the cabins were totally trashed by a dirtbike group. I spent 2 days cleaning up their mess, including the destruction of the 50 year old glass dollhouse. If the caretaker did not sign their real name, it is a scam. Steve Smith at BLM should be notifed and that sign removed. 2 weeks ago I organized a maintainance trip at the garlock cabins. I spoke with the Edith adoptee, and desertdog was present at the Mingus, and I was notifed that C.J has signed as the Dawson caretaker.Maddog repaired the bullet holes in the stove he donated, and the group installed a fire ring to discourage the homemade fire pits everywhere and the burned and melted glass garbage that is left every Thanksgiving weekend.
