Well that does it! DVNP wants the park proper in entirety to be like IRVINE CA, or SCOTTSDALE AZ (sterilized, i.e. "park like") Those of you that have been there and return know that a trip to Saline Warm Springs in OUR PARK is a special planned travel.
FACT: The site is remote by ALL! documented references to the location and by all my trip logs ;).
FACT: it has been very well maintained by volunteers (individuals and SPA "Ha?") for MANY years.
FACT: the clothing optional sign (removed recently "at the lobby request of a certain individual political group" at the bequest of NPS lawyers) identified the site as a place of defined yet relaxed (SICK in their narrow view) lifestyle options (BUT -YES NOW DAYS WE ARE ALL ASKED DAILY TO EMBRACE ALL OTHERS WITH DIFFERENT LIFESTYLE VIEWS!!!X-CEPT C.O.).
FACT: The NPS has no incident specific complaint based facts or guidelines for this action that they have produced (this is an individual "read one person or small group") rule change.
FACT: the C.O. use of OUR H.S. in Saline Valley have been documented since at least circa ~1950 (photos and accounts).
Current SALINE H.S. use policy shouldn't be limited by short sighted reactionary judgments from uneducated bureaucrats pressured by small group political interests!!!
Don't make rules unless you understand the issues!
