We were at Zabriskie Point on Sunday morning before we took off. First day that we had sunshine. Did not go to Ubehebe, and only drove through Panamint Valley going to and from Death Valley.

My husband got snow pictures on Wednesday at Towne's Pass. He's chief photo editor for the LA Daily News, in addition to teaching a college photo journalism class two mornings a week, so he sent the snow picture in to work. Didn't make the Daily News, but was sent over the wires, so who knows what papers it did get in.

There were about 10 of us in our group, and 5 vehicles, our Forerunner, trucks, and one small car. We saw a couple of people in various places along the road with the larger format cameras. Our group had an assortment of cameras - from Nikon D100's on down the line, and I had my video camera. I haven't seen what the students did, but my husband and friend took some really nice stuff. I will be posting some of them on my website, probably in January, as I have Christmas in ghost town type stuff I will be putting on the site for December.

The most fun of our whole trip, for me was Rhyolite. We spent two days there and I still didn't get enough of the place!
