If you really want to take full advantage of your GPS, then getting topos on CD-ROMS is the way to go. National Geographic and others offer good systems at reasonable prices. I have the DV series from N.G. and with it I can get any coordinate in the Park. Of course, they're all based on USGS maps, and most haven't been updated in quite some time. This has cost me a wrong turn more than once....
