To "Your Milage May Vary" I notice you didn't give your name, but I would hope you have expressed your concerns to Jerry in an email with your name and address. I know he appreciates the feed back, and does all he can to accomodate people and make their stay pleasant. If there was a problem, he would want to know the details.

I personally prefer Pananmint Springs, because although the rooms are small, they are clean and comfortable. And as someone else stated, the room is only for sleeping. The food is great, the staff I found to be very gracious and friendly even under great pressure. As for being on the western end of DV. It's only abaout 45 minutes more driving and takes you past many places to get out and enjoy the view or turn off to see other sites.

On the other hand my stays at Stovepipe Wells and Furnace Creek ranch have been horror stories. Even when I expressed my views to the owners they had the attitude, if I don't like it there go someplace else. So I guess it all boils down to personal taste.

But I for one would take down to earth comfort and hospitality over someplace that only sees me as a bank.
