No we are refering to the county road that runs from big pine road all the way through the west
part of Saline valley out the south to hyway 190.

Steel pass runs from the Eureka dunes farther east on big pine road to the saline valley springs on the north east side of the valley.

Steele pass is much rougher than the county road
and I consider it a trail rather than a road. Steele pass does have a narrow part with a staircase you must through. The rest of the trail
is rough with lots of rocks everywhere. Saline valley road is just rough. Steele pass is rougher. Good strong tires needed for both but steele even more so.
