The bridge was not involved in the temporary closing of the trail. It was the narrow spot above the bridge that had collapsed. Some on this board refer to that spot as Chicken Rock. I have read in a couple of postings everything from it being barely passable to it being pretty much repaired. It would be nice if someone would take digital photos of that spot and post it here so we could see what is meant by "repaired". I would consider doing it if the wheels on my body hadn't fallen off 6 months ago. Several MRI's and Cat-Scans from now should see me back in the desert someday I hope. Until then, I will read the postings on this site and dream about being back in God's Country with my friends. Also, based again on past postings, it does sound like Pleasant Canyon is not a problem for a back country rig.
Many others who post here might give you some tips on what direction to make the loop. Then again, at least a few who read this site might citisise us for wanting the "privilege" to drive a loop trail. Perhaps if they were disabled, they would view the world a little differently.
