A) I am assuming that those cabins are public domain and not private property - therefore, anything you choose to leave there is public domain, subject to use by the public.
B) You have to admire this guy, whether you like his methods or not. While everyone else here seems to be worried about going out into DV with a rack of spare tires, smelling their piss every 5 minutes to make sure they arent getting dehydrated, and carrying a Sat phone so that they can call in the paramedics if they stub their little toe - THIS GUY IS LIVING THERE - and living off the land. From the sound of it, hes doing a pretty good job of it, and Im betting he hasnt smelled his piss even once.
C) If youve been through the survival courses, you know that lizard doesnt taste all that much like chicken - so dont begrudge the Bandito a can of beans now and then.
D) And finally - for those that have suggested trapping, poisoning, or forming a "posse" to hunt the Bandito down - do the world a favor and get back to reality. #1 - he would eat you for lunch, and #2 - you guys scare me way more than the Bandito. How about posting your names and addresses so I can make sure that my kids dont come to your houses on Halloween? Nah, didnt think so...
