There are cheap meals and snacks at Furnace creek. Cheap for Donald Trump or Bill Gates. You can enjoy a hamburger with wilted lettuce for 14 dollars. Top it off with a flat soda for another 3 buckaroos. If you want it to go, there is an additional charge also.Best part, since you are from New york, you may not be surprised to find that the employees are not friendly. Take a fools advice(from experience) stop in Pahrump Nevada and stock up at the Terrible Herbst store. Instant coffee can be heated in an empty can on your fireplace. All snack foods will cost you one tenth what is will cost in the park. Be nice to the campground host in the golfcart. He is equilvent to the "soup nazi " on Seinfeld. Do not make eye contact. Do not play music, and do not have a hatchet in the campground unless you receive permission from the wife of the host.Be in your tent by ten pm and do not leave a lantern going after 11pm. If you head west, you will find other campgrounds with less rules, and great people.
