I agree for a buck install the dang thing. An old radio shack 40 channel radio pulled me out of a bind on the westside road a number of years back. Just last year a cousin had one with one of those boosters and was able to reach me in Butte Valley from the Westside road. Between GPS and the CB I was able to talk him in to Butte Valley as a newcomer at 0030 hours. Cell, CB, walkabouts: bring em all you never know when you'll need it.
