I did it last two Springs ago. You would have to haul ass to do it in two hours. At Hunter Mountain it will definitely be wet or snowy now. That is the steepest part, but just a short stretch. Hidden Valley had some deep fine ash to go thru which should be no big deal with a Jeep. Geting out of Hidden Valley down to the Junction there is a narrow canyon with lots of deep gravel or rock. I did this all in a Subie just being a bit more careful picking my way thru. I think this is the best route (fastest and smoothest) to the Racetrack if that's where you're headed. Definitely fastest from Panamint Springs area.
