When we take the 3 kids out we use a Dodge Durango.
I have a Draw-Tite 20"X60" cargo rack that plugs into the hitch. it comes out of the reciever and sits up 2" higher. I have found that I can fit 4 Rubbermaid boxes in it, and then stack them up to 3 high, giving us 12 boxes for camping equipment.
Thus everything is organized.
I have trailer taillights mounted on it since the Durangos tail lights are blocked by the boxes.

On top of the Durango I have a Surco Roof rack mounted using Confer Roof Rack adapters.
Up here we carry the cloths bags, and sleeping bags.

I had bought a Confer Roof Rack but it was way too small and weighted a ton!!
The companys who make roof racks have got to get it together, we dont need 6 million ton roof racks just to carry sleeping bags!! If I want to carry 2 Chevy 350 V8's on the roof, I will buy a Con-Fer roof rack. With all the weight of the camping equipment, I dont need the extra weight of a Confer Rack.

The Surco is a bit cheep but is light and works fine for the sleeping bags and clothes bags. I use a rack thats made for the Cherokee, so its a bit big, but everything for all 5 of us fits up there.
