I ran on to a little ralttler on the side of Surprise Canyon a number of years ago....He and I were both looking for a place to hide. I sort of assummed that he was what I've heard called a "Mojave Green", quite small and not brown. Those are reputed to be among the most deadly as their venom affects both the circulatory and nervous systems. My books are packed away as we painting the house, so I can't look it up, so regard my comments as heresay!
