The site belongs to her relatives and yes, they want it. Like everyone that has a private home in the area, the relatives will have to enter into expensive litigation with BLM and their volunteers to keep it. How can people live with themselves after stealing from a woman like Tonie after she dies? That property belongs to the relatives and not anyone else. What is the differance in stealing from Tonie or the local grocery store? Isn't there any respect for other peoples property anymore? I have not seen many Buddhas in Death Valley with or without their own tree.
