I took Sharon’s post as a social icebreaker, an innocuous attempt to join the gang with lite chatter about her experiences in Ryolite including references to a snake in the grass. The Hearties, the robust lads of hard trails, exploration and bounty hunting reacted as if Sharon was an intruder into their territory. All this does is show the limitations of the web and computer life.
I’m sure that Sharon is a fetching beauty and in real life her banter would be accompanied with fluttering eyelids and sweet smiles and the Hearties would soon be at her feet and regaling her with tales of their daring achievements in the harsh lands of Death Valley Country.
