I've just ordered a GPS unit also and found this program on the net. It's called QuakeMap and was originally designed to track earthquakes. You might try it before shelling out the $$$'s. My only comment is that it's pretty awsome. You can download to your computer (actually, I think everything that you view is download to your hard drive for viewing off-line),GPS,lat./long, etc. Shows Unbelievable Topo's, airial photos (real time? they say you can see your car in your driveway!)) unlimited zoom feature, Track points, Routes, overlays, etc. etc. More info. than you could ever use. To download and use the program you must have the windows component .NET Framework. The site can check to see if you have it and if not, you can download it. The program is free for 20 days. After that you can purchase a license for under $10.00. Cheap enough... Better check to see if you have enough space on your hard drive snice it takes alot of memory. Southwest Chuck
