Tami - Last 4th of July we hiked Telescope Peak when it was 120 degrees in the valley. The trail was comfortable at all times. The trailhead at Mahogany Flat is about 8000 feet. We returned there at 4:00 PM. I guess the temp was in the upper 80's. As soon as we went through Emigrant Pass, we turned on the air conditioner because it's all downhill to Stovepipe. Getting out of the vehicle into 120 degree air was a real shock. Good luck!
