look at a topo map. the top is posted at 1455m
and the contour near the base is 1200m. do the math and you come up with ~835'. i believe that was the very first answer given to you. you even got a nice profile out of the deal too. mike's post may have been a tad sarcastic but you were being kind of an ungrateful jerk to the guys who took the trouble to help you out. there are no surveyed benchmarks at the bottom of the mountain so a best guess is what you'll have to live with.
i applaude the later posters with the photos of the rulers and bird and all the bogus eureka dune height questions.
