Any RR ties left in Tie Canyon?

Years ago I heard about "Tie Canyon" near Scotty's Castle. It was supposed to be full of railroad ties from the Tidewater to Tonapah RR. Anyone know if there are ties left? The El Rancho Motel in Barstow had a fire and it's walls are made from the same ties.
Since it is a historical landmark, maybe the Park Service will provide needed ties for a proper reconstruction?
