For those who wish to help specifically on this issue should write a letter to the Manager of the BLM's Desert District expressing your outrage that the NEMO route designations took place without an full and accurate route survey. As a result, many regularly used backcountry routes that were ignored by planners and did not receive a designation will be automatically closed.
Be sure to send a copy of your letter to the State Director of the BLM, Mike Pool (he'll ignore it, but do it anyway) and the Director of the BLM in Washington, DC, Kathleen Clarke (she will NOT ignore it, she is hoping to receive lots of mail on this issue).
If 50 people do this, IT WILL HAVE A DIRECT IMPACT!
