Great post..saved me lots of typing. Ice cold weather as we only got to experience 118 degrees Vs. 133 last year. Ultra runner Queen Pam Reed(worlds best runner)was a little slower due to a recent 48 hour race in France. She looked great before, during, and after the race. Dean Karnazes was strong the entire race, passing leader Ferg Hawk in Lone pine and never looking back. The support crews all looked great and there were no traffic delays for visitors.
Race promoter Chris Kostman did a fantastic job in organizing this event.J.T Reynolds and staff were all helpful.
Maybe the posts by myself or the many others have helped Stovepipe Wells improve all the aspects of their resort. They were great this year. Food, customer service,Cleanliness, prices, have all improved and I will now give a good recommendation when asked.
Panamint Jerrys staff were up around the clock to help the runners and crew. This year they even put up glow sticks to lead the exausted runners to the suite as last year a runner from Germany wanted to sleep in Jerrys room(whoops). Id rather be on that porch with a frozen tap beer but it was nice to get coffee and rest if only for a few minutes. As always, jerrys place was great.Team Henebry will return!!!!!!
