Anyone who frequently travels through Beatty knows
it is a speed trap. Where this aggressive traffic
enforcement comes from is unknown since it's not the
standard in the rest of Nye County.
It really isn't healthy for a community to treat
passersby so badly.
Now here's how you refuse a "consent search."
"Officer, since I have absolutely nothing in this vehicle
that would be of interest to you, I'll have to
respectfully deny your request to search my car."
