This is very interesting and enlightening. First we have people like you, Rob, who want the NPS and the BLM and all of the other Government people to let you live your own way and not to meddle in your affairs. Less is better in your mind!
Now along comes a moderate didaster in the form of a flash flood. They (the heavy handed government folks) put up a road closed sign, you go around it, as, in your mind, it must pertain to someone else and you get into a problem.
What's the first thing you do? You holler for help and howl like a mashed tomcat
