My wife and I make a pilgrimage to Dante's View during every July (No! we are not crazy)! Everytime that we have been there, we have been able to be alone for at least a couple of hours, enjoying the peace & quiet and the exceedingly extrodinary views in temperatures never exceeding 74° with 15% humidity (at the "view"). Contrast that with valley temparatures of well over 115° (126° on a July day that we were in DV in 1999). We only wish that we could camp there for one whole night and day as the tranquility of the spot made a lasting impression on both of us. Interestingly enough, We have never been to DV in any other season beside the summeretime yet this has not put a damper on any activities that we have undertaken (although we have concetrated on exploring the eastern side of the park). Soon, We will be able to visit in other seasons and we are now preparing for a "grand 3 week self guided tour of DV in May of 2004" (exploring the western side of the park). Fran
