Sounds to me that you are thinking of the same Rocky and George.
However George is actually Rocky's Father.
Can't remember exactly but Rockey is in his early Fifties and George is in his eighties.
George has told me stories of growing up and following all the old timers around in the Panamints but I can't recall what he said his father's name was.
