Funny, I have only been to the springs twice, separated by 7 years, and have been lucky enough to grab the big spot at the end of the thick bushes south of the lower springs just north of the road that crosses the creek both times. As soon as I get there, people start asking me when I am going to leave, and a woman actually moved into the spot before I even left last time. Back to the point, the old guys in the big tub were there both times, and greeted me both times by asking if I had just flown in. I guess because I just park and walk in I look like I don't have a car, I don't know. But those guys have never made me fell unwelcome, though if I were a cute 20 something babe, I would certainly need to have a lot of moxie to get in with them. I guess it all depends on your perspective. As far as the upper srings, with no trees and no creek and no improvements up there, you might as well stay out in the boonies, where it is quiet, too. I can't understand why people camp all over the open flats out there. It looks just like the "campgrounds" which are really parking lots with bathrooms in the valley proper.
