Rolf, I have a M416 and love it. It goes every place the Scout goes. With the military hitch it allows the Scout to lean one way while the trailer leans the other. On and off road it tracks well. With a tarp, most of the dust and rain stays out. But when you get into trouble and think it couldn't be worse, you then remember the trailer. Many times the trailer had to be unhooked, stood up with with the hitch in the air so I could turn the Scout around and hook it back up. All things considered, it suits my needs and I like it. In regards to mileage, when you drive a Scout nothing can make the mileage worse than what it already is.
