DVRR, The best thing to do is do a search for Bandit on this page. It will give you the full history. But in a nutshell, some guy did a snatch and grab and has been eluding the police for several months. Reports are that he literally outran the police. They were in helicopters and motorized vehicles and he was on foot. There are other reports some weapons were found and an ATV.
But do the search and read for yourself, then you can draw your own conclusions. There will be many who will try to persuade you to their side of the story. You have to sift the facts from fiction. ( e.g. guns are not allowed in the Park unless unloaded and locked, but several people proclaim to be out there hunting this guy down waiting to get him in their sights. Or the last description is now about 6 months old, but people are still looking for him, although they have no picture to go by, the description fits a million people in the country, and his attire is bound to have changed. Well you get the picture.)
