This route connects the privately-owned Cerro Gordo ghost town, high in the Inyo Mountains, with the Saline Valley Road, via the head of San Lucas Canyon and Lee Flats. Generally in good shape and easily traveled by most high-clearance vehicles, the area is remote and very diverse in vegetation and climatic zones.
