Yes, Manly Falls used to be at the base of Redlands Canyon in the Panamints, and Manly Pass is over the Slate Range.

But which way did they go from Trona?

Below is a map that has some of the group crossing the Argus Range via Providence Spr., and others crossing via Shepherd Canyon.

Do note that the exact routes taken by the lost Death Valley '49ers is still a matter of considerable debate among historians. Complicating things are that they broke up into so many smaller parties, and that Manly & Rogers may have taken different routes from/to/from again, as they actually made three escapes!
