"Hidden" cabin in the Owlshead Mountains area?

About five years ago I was at Trona Airport and visited with a mining engineer named Carl Lindblom, who was living in his hanger there. He told me a story about how he and the airport manager, Bill Stevens (who, interstingly enough, died of exposure a few years ago near Ballarat while trying to walk out of Surprise Canyon after his pickup became disabled), had flown to Lost Lake for a camp-out. While there, he says they found a "hidden" cabin in the area that was near a spring and was in very good condition. Has anyone heard of this cabin, or know if it even exists?
