RaceTrack road / high clearance ?

How important is it to have high clearance?
What does high clearance - really mean?
I was hoping to go this weekend for Photographic purposes but the highest clearance car I have is a Volvo (NOT the cross country).

Will I be able to navigate the road with no damage to my vehicle?
Is the race track worth seeing this time of year - as I mentioned - I am going to photograph it.
