You might consider:
SR-190 to west Olancha
US-395 south th SR-178
SR-178 west to Bakersfield
then either
US-99 north to SR-198 (near Visalia)
SR-198 in south end of Sequoia
or
US-99 north to SR-180 (Fresno)
SR-180 in north end of Sequoia
Where are you be staying?
Note, this is a full day of driving.
