A shovel-pick-and steel rakes are a hoot.Do not leave plastic garden tools as they cannot hold up to the work or heat if left outside. A good friend of mine that owns a furniture store left a leather lazy boy leather recliner in russells suite. It was brand new and supposed to be a surprise for our group arriving 5 days later. It was a surprise to find a skeletal remains of a chair and a thousand pounds of leather rat poop in my bed. It took us two days to clean it up. Rats eat everything plastic. If you donate a large syrup bottle- put it in glass. The rats love real maple, not plain wrap brand from vons. Glass ovaltine bottles with new green sinker nails and stainless sheetmetal screws are nice.Like Rand reports..... Do not bring junk from home.Stellas place has over 30 broken chairs and I remove a dozen every trip. Ice chests need to go to the dumpster at the arco station also.If you are too daft to bring an ice chest you will not find ice out there anyway so do not leave the broken plastic chest behind. If you have 4 ounces of water left in a 2and a half gallon water container take it home.In jan. we removed 20 of them from russells. Do not use the trash dumps as they are long- retired and should have only historical objects. Protect and enjoy!
