Hello Ray.... You will find that death valley in the summer is for sure no sound of music. Plan on heat over 110 degrees in the day and 100 at night.I would advise on reading every book you can get your hands on regarding the valley and summer travel. If you plan on travelling by motorhome I would advise contacting the rental company as they expressly prohibit travel within the park during summer months. Have fun!
