AS it was me who said the Cottonwood road was closed, *after the first 8 miles*. Which I distinctly remember saying. My intention was
for other people to not bank on driving in and
wasting their time if they intended to drive in 17 miles.

Seems to me others posting info here do so in the spirit of trying to share information!
