If I recall, extreme heat kills bees. We must drink a lot of nectar (beer) to stay active.
(By the way - drinking only beer in extreme heat is very dangerous. The rule of thumb is only to drink beer/alcohol, with plenty of water, when all the work is done. A 1 to 1 ratio (1 beer - 1 bottle of water) is a good mix.
